Established in 1862, the Société des beaux-arts et du musée is at the origin of the MBAL’s foundation in 1864. Since its creation and as the main owner, the Society has contributed to maintain and increase the collection and a demanding cultural program. Very active in the museum’s development and the cultural outreach, it includes a committee and contributing members. In order to extend the artistic experience beyond the museum, the association offers each year for sale an engraving by a well-known Swiss artist such as Claudia Comte, Sylvie Fleury, Sandrine Pelletier, Augustin Rebetez or other artists to be discovered on mbal.ch.

Contribute to the influence of the museum, to the build-up of its collections and the conservation of a heritage that has been enriched over the years by becoming a member of the Society of Fine Arts and the Museum. Donor : CHF 300.- (valid for 2 people, an annual edition of 2018 or previous years)
Benefactor : CHF 500.- (valid for 2 people, the 2021 annual edition, a place offered for 2 people to one MBAL brunch)
Mécène / Company : CHF 1000.- (20 free entries for your collaborators and clients, privatization of a space for an event, your name mentioned within the museum among the donors)
Super Mécène / Company : CHF 2000.- to 5000.- (depending on contribution : 40 free entries for your collaborators and clients, two guided tours and privatization of a space for an event, your name mentioned in the museum among the donors, the annual edition 2024 signed by the artist Una Szeemann unveiled at the beginning of the year and a print of your choice from previous editions, 10% in the shop items)
