As part of the exhibition Hybridations Fertiles at Hiflow in Geneva, the MBAL will present the work Entangled Others by Feileacan Kirkbride McCormick and Sofia Crespo, drawn from our virtual art platform Orbit_E.
Hybridations Fertiles explores the many forms of encounters and interconnections between humans, non-humans, knowledge, and temporalities. Visitors are invited to engage with the space, to reflect, to connect with these artists, researchers, and designers, and to attempt, like them, to enter into dialogue with the living by moving beyond anthropocentrism—the idea that human beings are at the center of everything—in order to recognize in other species a form of intelligence, agency, and to reestablish meaningful connections with them. More than 40 works and installations make up this sensory landscape, where artists and designers from diverse generations and backgrounds draw upon observation, experimentation, and wonder as pathways to reconnection.
