A multidisciplinary artist based in Paris, Anna Carraud combines dance, performance and costume design to explore the body and its transformations.
Don’t miss her performance MARIE-MADELEINE Save your tears at the MBAL!
The artist presents an intimate encounter between two figures with the same first name: Marie Madeleine, her mother, and Marie Madeleine, an emblematic figure from the Gospels. Through fragmented gestures and a sound creation by Léa Moreau, the work questions memory, filiation and the metamorphosis of the body.
In Le Locle, where the first church, built in 1351, was dedicated to Marie-Madeleine the performance MARIE-MADELEINE Save your tears takes on a special resonance.
