Established in 1862, the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des beaux-arts et du mus\u00e9e is at the origin of the MBAL\u2019s foundation in 1864. Since its creation and as the main owner, the Society has contributed to maintain and increase the collection and a demanding cultural program. Very active in the museum’s development and the cultural outreach, it includes a committee and contributing members. In order to extend the artistic experience beyond the museum, the association offers each year for sale an engraving by a well-known Swiss artist such as Claudia Comte, Sylvie Fleury, Sandrine Pelletier, Augustin Rebetez or other artists to be discovered on mbal.ch<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contribute to the influence of the museum, to the build-up of its collections and the conservation of a heritage that has been enriched over the years by becoming a member of the Society of Fine Arts and the Museum.
