This summer, at the initiative of the Exomus\u00e9e, French street artist Levalet will create an installation on one of the museum\u2019s facades. In keeping with the Exomus\u00e9e\u2019s concept, the work will be displayed outdoors on a permanent basis, so that the public can view it for free at any time. Its theme will be the philosophical thought of a famous figure in the labor movement, Mikhail Bakunin, who died on July 1, 1876, in Bern\u2014exactly 150 years before the opening date. The location of the work is no coincidence, as it was at the Caf\u00e9 de la Poste\u2014just a stone\u2019s throw from the MBAL\u2014that Bakunin gave a lecture in Le Locle on February 21, 1869.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
