The red thread of our exhibitions is clothing. For more than 20 years, the photographer Charles Fr\u00e9ger has been travelling around countries and continents in search of communities where identity is defined by clothing. Over the years, Fr\u00e9ger has created a gallery of striking portraits, with a focus on clothes and the solemnity of the pose. At the MBAL, his work is displayed in four rooms and takes us on a journey from Europe to the American continent, passing through Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in its history, the MBAL is devoting an exhibition to Art Brut creators. The exhibition PARURES D’ART BRUT brings together the works of five artists who think of clothing as a protective envelope or a medium for magical stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our commitment to contemporary art continues with the exhibitions of EMMA LUCY LINFORD, EMERIC LHUISSET returning from Ukraine with one hundred portraits of resistance fighters, and SALVATORE VITALE who inaugurates our new digital exhibition space, the ORBIT-E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
